This antique Georgian drop pendant is a beautiful example of early 1800’s craftsmanship. A Colombian drop emerald is articulated from a beautiful rose diamond cap, encircled by a table cut diamond surround.
MATERIALS: Untreated, natural Colombian pear drop emerald. Table cut and rose cut diamonds of varying sizes, set in silver with 18ct gold. The diamonds have closed backs, and are very tricky to measure in terms of carat weight.
DIMENSIONS: Total width: 26cm. Length including bale, 4.3cm. The emerald is 1.3cm long x 1cm at its widest. Weight: 7.2g.
ERA / HALLMARKS: Unmarked; dates to the Georgian period, early 1800. The emerald is a cabochon and has some inclusions as pictured.
