A classic, 18ct gold, thick antique Victorian buckle ring with 2 old mine cut diamonds. Buckles, or belts, are a well loved motif in Victorian jewellery, signifying love, loyalty and eternity - the two pieces of a buckle represent the connection of 2 souls together and they were often used in mourning jewellery. This ring has fantastically clear hallmarks, and is in great condition for it's age - it was made in Birmingham in 1859. A wonderful piece of history to wear on your finger.
