An engraved 18ct gold antique Victorian buckle ring with pretty floral chased detail the entire way around the band. Buckles and belts are a well loved motif in Victorian jewellery, signifying love, loyalty or eternity. They are symbolic of 2 souls connected for ever, and were often used as mourning jewellery. It's smooth and easy to wear. This ring has clear hallmarks, and is in great condition for it's age with just some smoothing out on the engravings on the reverse - it was made in Birmingham in 1890. It's a beautiful piece of well made Victorian history!
