This renaissance revival cross pendant is a beautiful piece of jewellery by master craftsman, Carlo Giuliano. Giuliano was an Italian goldsmiths who stated work in Naples for Alessandro Castellani, later setting up his own house in Piccadilly, London, with his brother Arthur. He soon became one of London's leading jewellers, famed for his renaissance style design and fine enamel work. This is a beautiful collector's item - with extremely well preserved, bold enamel work and four large sapphire cabochons on 18ct gold. It is signed 'C+AG'.
MATERIALS: Sapphire, enamel, 18ct gold
DIMENSIONS: 5cm x 5cm. The 4 outer sapphires measure: 9mm diameter, and the central sapphire is 7mm diameter. The bale is 8mm. Weight: 17g.
