This fantastically bold, geometric, diamond set 'Odeonesque' cocktail ring reminds me of a big bow. Odeonesque rings are so called because their tiers of jewels are reminiscent of the tiered seating in the music and picture halls (often called an 'Odeon' from the Greek meaning 'song') which became popular in Europe from the 1910's on wards. This ring is a French art deco piece, modelled in platinum with two feature 1.20ct old European cut diamonds. It bares French import marks, so it was likely brought into the country to retail in Paris in the 1930's.

MATERIALS: Platinum. There is a total weight of approximately 3.10ct diamonds in a mix of old cut and 8 single cut diamonds. There are two 1.20ct old European cut diamonds in the centre.

DIMENSIONS: H: 14.65mm x W 28mm. Total weight 14.2g.

FINGER SIZE: UK: K, USA: 5.25

ERA / HALLMARKS: The ring bares a worn makers mark and French import marks. Dated to c.1930-35.

CONDITION: Very good. The band has some marks from an historic re-size.
