These pretty diamond drop earrings date to the early 1800's, making them Georgian. They are a feminine design, with a tear drop adorned with rose cut diamonds and topped with a lively diamond encrusted bow. The diamonds are set in silver in cut down settings on a closed gold backing, typical of the era, and sit on 18ct yellow gold hooks (which are likely newer).
MATERIALS: Diamonds, Silver, 18ct Gold
DIMENSIONS: Approx. 0.20cts of diamonds per earring. The diamonds are closed back, making them hard to measure, the largest measures 2.8mm diameter. The smaller diamonds are c.1.5mm diameter. Length: 2.7cm. They weigh 3g each.
ERA / HALLMARKS: No markings. Materials tested as diamonds, silver and 18ct gold.
CONDITION: Very good commensurate to their age. They have some patina as would be expected.
